| | Marc Bolan and T-Rex | ] | We've developed a problem with connecting our two laptops to our wireless broadband. They used to work fine but not any longer. Now when we have them both switched on, one has limited/no wireless connectivity. The other seems to work fine but an error message does pop up to say there is an IP address conflict with another device on the network.
The laptop with limited/no wireless connectivity works fine when the other laptop is switched off.
So, my more computer literate friends, does this sound like an easy problem to fix? And if so, how would I go about it (concise explanations for a dummy appreciated :-))? |

| | annoyed | ] | I had an appointment first thing this morning at the hospital for my annual diabetic eye screening. This is where they put drops in your eyes to dilate the pupil so they can photograph the back of the eye. Well the good news is that my eyes are fine and healthy, so no worries on that account. Unfortunately there are some annoying aspects to this eye screening...
In previous years I've had this screening at my opticians but the hospital has now taken this over. Previously my eyes have recovered from the eye drops within a few hours so I foolishly thought I'd be able to work this afternoon. Hah. It transpires the hospital uses a stronger dilution strength eye drop than my opticians. This means the patients' eyes dilate quicker so they can process more patients in the time. It also means it has taken bloody forever for my eyes to recover. It is now seven hours later and I can finally focus on the computer screen, albeit only for short periods at a time.
So much for my plans to hit my work deadlines this week. At least my eyes are healthy. |

 | You scored as Remus Lupin, You are a wise and caring wizard and a good, loyal friend to boot. However sometimes in an effort to be liked by others you can let things slide by, which ordinarily you would protest about.

Slayer of darkness.
Loooooong.
Longcat may seem like just a regular lengthy cat, but he is, in fact, looong. For proof, observe the longpic.
It is prophesized that Longcat and his archnemesis Tacgnol will battle for supremacy on Caturday. The outcome will change the face of the world, and indeed the very fabric of lolcatdom, forever.
Be grateful that the test has chosen you, and only you, to have this title. |

| I didn't know I was so boring |
[Jun. 8th, 2007|10:31 am] |
Apparently my friends are "normal."
So, jadeent, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 8% unique (blame, for example, your interest in pulp era) and 38% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy walking). When it comes to friends you are normal. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.
Your overall weirdness is: 15(The average level of weirdness is: 27. You are weirder than 28% of other LJers.)

| | relaxed | ] | Me and Lucya have tickets for the Chelsea Flower Show this evening. I'm looking forward to it (as long as the weather holds out).
We have traditionally viewed gardening as a spectator sport, enjoying the odd Gardener's World on BBC2 and Carol Klein's infectious enthusiasm for horticulture, and now we're going to our first RHS flower show. I am slightly concerned this may persaude us to get our hands dirty and actually try some of this gardening lark for ourselves. We have this large garden out the back that we tend to ignore but now I think I can hear it calling to me.
